Mr. Venkatakrishnan Asuri

Venkatakrishnan Asuri is a final-year undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where he pursues a minor in Global Politics and International Relations. His research interests span China studies, India's neighbourhood, and South Asian security, with ongoing thesis work on China's efforts to expand the renminbi's international role. He has held a research position at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad working on quantitative financial modeling and has contributed to urban policy research examining transport infrastructure allocation across Indian cities.

He has written for India Foundation, The Diplomatist, CNN-News18, and the Deccan Centre, covering subcontinental security, great power competition, and India's foreign policy choices. He serves as AI Officer at VDUT-AI, where he builds AI-assisted intelligence workflows and OSINT platforms oriented toward dual-use sovereign technology applications.
